The upper Lech Valley

The Lech Valley is an Alpine valley in Austria, which belongs to a large part to the Tyrol and to a lesser extent to Vorarlberg and Bavaria. It is drained by the Lech.

Geography

Geographical Location

Geographically, the Lech Valley is bounded on the south by the Lech Valley Alps and in the north of the Allgäu Alps, the headwaters of the Lechquellengebirge.

From Lech Valley several side valleys branch off, including the left side of the Hornbachtal and the Tannheim Valley. Dexter joins a street with Stan Zach Berwang and Bichlbach by the Namlostal. By Bschlabertal leads to Bschlabs, soil and Hahntennjoch to Imst. The Gramaistal and the Kaiser are also right-hand side valleys of the Lech valley. In feet, it goes into the Bavarian Alpine foothills.

Economy

Dialect

National Park / Nature Reserve

In Tyrol's Lech Valley a national park Tyrolean Lech Valley was planned. It should cover an area of ​​4138 hectares.
