Hinterhornbach

Hinterhornbach is a village and a municipality in the district of Reutte, Tyrol ( Austria ) with 90 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

Geography

Hinterhornbach located on the 1100 m above sea level. A. the back of the Hornbachtals, a tributary of the Lech Valley, at the foot of the 2592 m high bird in the Allgau Alps.

Community structure

The small community consists of only one cadastral and village. Next to the village Hinterhornbach even the Rotten Krumm stone and Pretterhof belong to the community.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1235. It was settled as a pasture area from the Allgäu forth across the yokes. The original individual farms were transformed into groups of farms and hamlet -like settlements.

Hinterhornbach was from time immemorial the parish Elbigenalp, from 1515 Elmen ( 1758 Kuratie, 1761/64 Widum ) and the jurisdiction Ehrenberg assumed, and belonged to the bar Unterlechtal the Lech Valley region. 1810-1833 (1805-1816 in the Innkreis of the Kingdom of Bavaria, then Austrian) was the locality associated with Hinterhornbach to the control district ( Austrian control community) Hornbach.

Migrations of the 1950s and 1960s could be stopped by infrastructure measures.
