Ehenbichl

Ehenbichl is a municipality with 856 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Reutte, Tyrol ( Austria ).

Geography

The municipality is located in the judicial district of Reutte, in the valley basin of Reutte, where Ehenbichl is separated from this site by the 939 meter high hill Sintwag and located away from the main traffic routes. The settlement covers a situation created by Lech step which represents a gentle Talschulter. The Lech is also the municipal boundary. The district vineyards located in the southwest, near Weissenbach am Lech.

Ehenbichl was first mentioned in 1404 as Ehenpühel documented.

The District Hospital Reutte was built in 1968.

Coat of arms

Blazon: split from green and gold, the green field gezinnt in chief with gold, golden field a black Hirsch rod. The colors of the flag community are green-yellow.

The coat of arms was granted in 1983. The battlements refer to the lying on the municipal boundary Ehrenberg Castle, the deer rack reminiscent of the erstwhile princely Tiergarten and the abundance of wildlife in the area.

Personalities

Ehenbichl is the birthplace of Nicole Hosp, the world champion in skiing giant slalom in 2007 and by Michael Wolf, the captain of the German national ice hockey team at the World Cup 2011.
