Forchach

Forchach is a municipality with 268 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Reutte, Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district Reutte in the Lech Valley, on the edge of Lechauen. The municipal area extends approximately from Lech (which changed its bed, the municipal boundary is wrong with the river match ) up to 2227 m high Schwarzhanskarspitze in the Lech Valley Alps.

Forchach first documented in 1200 as " Vorhach " ( Scots pine ) was mentioned. The community thrives on agriculture, tourism and small industrial settlement.
