Li Jiao (table tennis)

Li Jiao ( born January 15, 1973 in Qingdao ) is a Chinese-born Dutch table tennis player and European champion in 2007 and 2011.

Career

Li Jiao was in China, although the encouraged talent, but the breakthrough into the national team did not succeed. That's why she ended her active career and worked for five years as a trainer at a table tennis school. In 2000 she moved with her husband to the Netherlands in the place Herhugowaard ( Alkmaar ).

In 2004 she received the Dutch nationality. Since then, she is also eligible to play internationally for the Netherlands. Since 2005, she has been nominated for the world championships. 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011, she won the European ranking tournament TOP - 12th At the European Championships she won the 2007 singles title by winning the final against Ni Xialian and 2008 with the Dutch team. In 2012 she joined the German Bundesliga TTSV Saarlouis - Fraulautern.

Li Jiao is left-handed. She plays in Penholderstil.
