Ligornetto

Ligornetto

Ligornetto was up on April 13, 2013 a municipality in the district Stabio, in the district of Mendrisio in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. Since April 14 Ligornetto belongs to the municipality and to the district Mendrisio. The village is ten kilometers away from Chiasso, on the Italian border.

The village was already inhabited in Roman times. Worth seeing are the churches of San Lorenzo Martire from the 12th century and San Giuseppe.
