Lin Ling

Lin Ling ( born September 9, 1977 in Fuzhou ( China) ) is a Chinese-born table tennis player from Hong Kong, the Asian champion four times and at world championships won two silver medals.

Career

Lin Ling played to 2001 for China and then joined the Table Tennis Association of Hong Kong.

2000 and 2005 she won the Asia Cup in singles and with the women's team from China or Hong Kong. The first place in the individual 2005 she was the first Asian Champion from Hong Kong. From 1997 to 2009 she was nominated eight times for the World Championships. In 2001, she became vice world champion in singles behind Wang Nan, in 2006 won the silver with Hong Kong team. A bronze medal she won in 2005 and 2008 individual in the team competition. In 1998, she was at the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals Second behind Wang Nan, she reached the semifinals in doubles in 1999 with Li Nan and Zhang Rui 2003.

Summer Olympic Games in 2004 and Summer Olympic Games in 2008, Lin Ling qualified for participation in the Summer Olympic Games, where they landed in 2008 with the team in fifth place. In the 2008 /09 season played for the Dutch club Mfs Heerlen.

In the ITTF World Ranking Lin Ling was conducted from May 2002 to September 2003 in the top ten. Their best finish was third place in January 2003.

The end of 2009, she ended her active career and returned to China to study there. As a result, it was still present in some Pro Tour tournaments.
