Lisa Middelhauve

Lisa Middelhauve ( born November 28, 1980 in Bielefeld as Lisa damage Phaus ) is a German singer, pianist and songwriter. Notoriety she gained particular as the lead singer of the symphonic metal band Xandria, to which she belonged from 2000 to 2008.

Biography

Childhood and youth

At the age of three she began to play the keyboard. At age six, she took violin lessons, but they gave up a few years later. From then on she devoted herself to play the piano and began at the age of 13 years to compose his own songs.

In the following years, she has learned the art of opera singing, without, however, to develop a classical opera voice.

But your first experience on stage made ​​them at the piano, as, for example, Ave Maria recited at weddings.

Xandria (2000 - 2008 and 2010)

From bandleader Marco Heubaum discovered she joined in 2000 by the German symphonic metal band Xandria as lead singer. The debut album Kill The Sun was released in May 2003. It was followed by three more studio albums before April 30, 2008 Xandria left for personal reasons.

In the spring of 2010, she returned briefly to Xandria to support the band after the departure of their singer Kerstin Bischof in some live performances.

As a guest singer (2010 - 2011)

End of 2010, Lisa Middelhauve joined as guest vocalist of the French symphonic metal band Whyzdom with which they gave some concerts. Further guest appearances followed with the band Serenity, among other things, their European tour in 2011 with Delain.

Solo career (since 2009)

Since 2009, Lisa Middelhauve has composed his own songs and published on various Internet media. An official solo album was, however, not yet published.

Private life

In August 2005 she married Nils Middelhauve, the former bassist of Xandria. On 16 December 2013, the separation was announced.

Others

In October 2010, Lisa Middelhauve was one of the founders of Eve's Apple Project, an association of professional rock and metal singers. Its members included, among others Elize Ryd ( Amaranthe, Kamelot ), Manuela Kraller ( ex- Xandria ), Ailyn ( Sirenia ), Charlotte Wessels ( Delain ) and Dianne van Giersbergen ( Xandria, Ex Libris ). On November 30, 2013, the end of the project was announced.
