Little Annie

Little Annie (actually, Anne Bandez, also known under the pseudonym Annie Anxiety ) is an American singer, painter and stage actress. In addition to her own recordings Bandez is known for her many contributions to the work of very different avant-garde musicians since the 1980s. Mentioned are the rock musician Kid Congo Powers, the dub artist Adrian Sherwood, the experimental punk band Crass, and the electronic band Coil.

Life and work

In the late 1970s Annie first appeared as front woman of the punk band Annie and the Asexuals in appearance. The group released no plates, but went through numerous live performances a name. Was one of her fans, among others, Frank Zappa. Annie went in the early 1980s to England, where they quickly established contacts with renowned scene groups. In the following years she worked with, among others, to recordings of the punk group Crass, electronics pioneers coil and the post-industrial spectrum then active Current 93. In Coil title Things Happen on their classic album Love's Secret Domain Annie presented for the first time their vocal abilities in Old demonstrated and pointed ahead to Later. Little Annie lived and worked for several years in New York and has recorded solo albums since the 1980s and over again. Painting

Little Annie is also a painter and exhibits regularly in galleries.
