London Borough of Merton

The London Borough of Merton [ mɜ ː tn ] is a city district of London and is situated in the southwest of the city. With the establishment of the administrative region of Greater London in 1965, he emerged from the Municipal Borough of Mitcham, the Municipal Borough of Wimbledon and the Merton and Morden Urban District in the county of Surrey. The name of the district derives from a former village in the center and was chosen as a compromise between the wealthy Wimbledon and the more socially problematic murders.

The population continued in 2008, composed of 72.8 % White, 11.8 % Asian, 8.1% black and 1.5 % Chinese.

Opened in 2003, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Mosque Bait ul- Futuh.
