London Velopark

The Lee Valley Velo Park is a cycling center at the Marsh Gate Lane in Stratford, Newham district, Greater London in the Olympic Park and was the venue for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in 2012. Was planned the park by Hopkins Architects Partnership LLP (Sir Michael and Lady Patricia Hopkins ) and Grant Associates (Landscape architects ).

For Velo Park include the Lee Valley Velodrome and BMX grounds. Construction of the Velodrome was in 2009, and was completed in February 2011. Offers 6,000 spectators. The BMX facility was built from spring to summer 2011 and is about 400 m long. Created 6000 temporary seats that were dismantled after the end of the Olympics these BMX facility. After completion of the Olympic and Paralympic competitions of bike park was expanded, were added a cross-country course for mountain bike and a 1.6 -km-long road cycling course. The plant was opened in early April 2014 for the public use and as a training center for sports clubs.

In the bike park the competitions were held during the Olympic Games in track cycling and BMX as well as at the Paralympics competitions in track cycling.
