Louis-Lewin-Straße (Berlin U-Bahn)

Metro Station Louis Lewin Street is a station on the Berlin U -Bahn line U5 in the Berlin district Heller village. The train station is 837 meters from the village Heller metro station and 1025 meters from the Honow Metro Station and is led BVG internally as LL.

History and Structure

The subway station was built as part of the extension of that line E to Honow and opened on 1 July 1989. At this time was Honow and thus also the station outside Berlin in Frankfurt ( Oder) DDR district, today both belonging to the district of Marzahn- Heller village.

Initially it was intended as a station name Honow -West. However, the opening was the neighboring Paul Verner Street name, was renamed on 2 October 1991 in Louis -Lewin -Straße.

The station has, like the other stations of this route section, a covered central platform and is located on ground level.
