Luis León Sánchez

Luis León Sánchez Gil (* November 24, 1983 in Murcia, Spain ) is a Spanish cyclist. He is the older brother of football player Pedro León Sánchez Gil, who plays for Getafe CF.

Career

Sánchez ran from 2004 to 2006 for Liberty Seguros. In 2007 he moved to the Caisse d' Epargne and since 2011 he goes for the Belkin. He was able to achieve in 2008 with two wins in major Tours Through his departure Arts: In the spring he won a stage at Paris- Nice and the summer, the then 24 -year-old secured the victory in the seventh stage of the Tour de France 's largest ever sporting success. A first important victory in a one-day race succeeded in 2010 in the Clasica San Sebastian, he could repeat in 2012. He devotes each of his victories to his deceased brother Leon.

Sánchez was brought by Spanish media on several occasions with the Fuentes doping scandal in conjunction, however, denied any contact with Fuentes. As a result, Sánchez had to admit to have worked in 2007 with the equally controversial Dr. Michele Ferrari. He denied, however, that have played a role in this context doping.
