Makers is an administrative community free municipality in the east of the district of Leipzig in Saxony.

Geography and transport

Makers located 18 kilometers east of Leipzig, about 10 kilometers west of Wurzen and about 12 kilometers south of haste castle. Locally Püchau the B 107 leads north to hurry castle and south to Wurzen. East of the village flows the trough. History

The district Püchau is the first mention in 924 of the oldest documented city in Saxony.
