Maciej Bydliński

Maciej Bydlinski ( born March 11, 1988 in Szczyrk ) is a Polish ski racer. It starts in all disciplines and has been six times Polish Champion.

Biography

Bydlinski participated in the 2003/2004 season for the first time in FIS races and arrived next winter his first podium and first win. He started at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2005 in Monthey, where his best result was the 13th place in the slalom, and at the Junior World Championship 2005 in Bardonecchia, where, however, he placed only in the final field. At the end of winter, the then 17 -year-old achieved his first major success at the national level when he was Polish Champion in slalom. Due to injury, had Bydlinski pause the entire 2005/2006 season. In winter 2006/2007 of the poles came to his first start in the European Cup. But to this day he went in any of his European Cup races in the points, so in the top 30 At the Junior World Championships 2007 in Altenmarkt / Flachau he showed places 30 in the downhill and super-G 40. The next year he reached in Formigal with number 23 in the Super -G his best result at the Junior World Championships.

At the national level Bydlinski established himself as one of the strongest runners. From 2008 to 2010, he was for three consecutive times Polish Champion in Giant Slalom, also in 2008 and 2010, Polish Champion in slalom. In the World Cup Bydlinski debuted on 26 October 2008 at the giant slalom in Soelden. He first reached but - also due to many failures - never the points. As the only male participant in his country, he started in February 2009 at the World Championships in Val d'Isere France. He finished second in the super-combined last to the 23th Place and in the Super- G at 47 runners evaluated the 41st rank. In the slalom, he left in the first round, as he was disqualified in the giant slalom already in the qualification race. Shortly after the World Cup, he drove at the Universiade in 2009 twice in the top ten.

The first World Cup points won Bydlinski in his 19th World Cup race, the super combined in Wengen January 14, 2011, with 27th place, he was the first Pole Andrzej Bachleda - Curuś since junior in the 2002/2003 season, won the World Cup points. At the World Championships 2011 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen Bydlinski remained without result: in Slalom, Super -G and Super Combined, he left, in the giant slalom, he resigned after the 56th place overall not in the second round. In the season 2011/2012 Bydlinski was able to score two more times in the World Cup: He was 30th in super combined in Wengen and 27th in the super combination of Sochi ( Krasnaya Polyana ).

His first Top 10 ranking in the World Cup scored Bydlinski on January 27, 2013 as the ninth of the Hahnenkamm combination of Kitzbühel - came in only ten runners in the standings.
