Marat Izmailov

Marat Izmailov Nailewitsch (Russian Марат Наилевич Измайлов; . Engl Marat Izmailov transcription; born September 21, 1982 in Moscow ) is a Russian footballer of Tatar descent. The midfielder is since January 2013 with FC Porto under contract and is part of the national team of Russia.

Career

At the beginning of his career as a professional footballer, he played in the 2001 season with Lokomotiv Moscow, then he moved in 2007 to the Portuguese first division side Sporting Lisbon. In January 2013 he moved to league rivals FC Porto and signed a contract until the end of June 2015. Conversely, the Portuguese international Miguel Lopes moved to Sporting Lisbon.
