Eliaquim Mangala

Mangala (2013 )

Eliaquim Mangala ( born February 13, 1991, Colombes ) is a French footballer who plays for FC Porto in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. He also holds a Belgian and a Congolese passport.

Career

In the club

Mangala age of five moved with his parents to Belgium; there began his career in the youth team of AC Lustin. In 2002 he moved to CS Wépionnais, from where he moved to UR Namur 2004. Three years later he changed to Standard Liege.

The following year he was brought into the squad for the first team. The defender made ​​his debut on 21 December 2008 compared KAA Gent, when he came on in the 89th minute for Wilfried Dalmat. The game ended 2:1 for standard. Furthermore, he came at European club level for the first time used. In the group stage match of the UEFA Cup against Sampdoria, he came on in the 88th minute for Milan Jovanović. The game was won 3-0. In the National Team

Internationally, he played 21 times for the U- 21 team of France and shot in qualifying for the European Championship 2013 in Israel against Latvia and Slovakia each have a goal. As a group, first he qualified with France for the play- offs, in which the team ultimately failed to Norway and did not participate in the tournament.
