Danilo Luiz da Silva, known as Danilo ( born July 15, 1991 by Bica ) is a Brazilian football player who currently is under contract with FC Porto.

Career

Association

Danilo started his career at América Mineiro, where he was promoted in January 2009 to the senior squad.

In July 2010 he moved to the traditional club Santos. Here he celebrated his 45 -minute debut on the 10th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Clube 21 July 2010 against Atlético Paranaense. With his club, he won the Copa Libertadores 2011.

Be moved to FC Porto was announced on 20 June 2011. Danilo signed in Porto a five -year contract until 30 June 2016 and cost around € 13 million transfer fee. Thus he was at that time the second most expensive transfer of Portuguese football history. First, Danilo was loaned to the end of the year to FC Santos, so he came in January 2012 to his new team.

National

Danilo came for the Brazilian U-20 junior national team to eight inserts and scored a goal. He stood in the squad for the 2011 U-20 Football Championship and the South America U -20 World Cup 2011 in Colombia. In both tournaments he won with his team the title.

In 2012 he took part with the Olympic Team at the Olympic Games in London, in which Brazil wanted to win for the first time the gold medal. In the final, Brazil but was defeated with 1:2 of the Mexican team. Danilo came in the first four games for, scoring in the first round 3-0 against New Zealand in the first goal.
