Mark Hoppus
Mark Allan Hoppus ( born March 15, 1972 in Ridgecrest, California ) is the bass player, singer and songwriter of the American pop-punk band blink- 182 the one with the album Enema of the State and the single All The Small Things 1999 international breakthrough. Between 2005 and 2009, the band was separated on the basis of disputes. Since 2006 he was also a singer and bassist of the band 44 until it disbanded in 2009 after the reunification of blink- 182.
His sister Anne Hoppus introduced him in 1992 Tom DeLonge ago. They both wanted to start a band, but had difficulties to find band members. Already enrolled at their first meeting Hoppus and DeLonge the song Carousel. With Scott Raynor (later replaced by Travis Barker ) they formed the band blink-182, in the Hoppus was bassist and singer. Hoppus played mainly a Musicman bass during this time. Hoppus preferred Fender basses (mostly in unusual colors like pink or turquoise ( Hot Pink, Surf Green ) ). It is known especially the Mark Hoppus Signature Bass by Fender: A combination of a jazz bass body with a Precision Bass pickups and a Precision Bass neck. In the early years of his career, Mark Hoppus also played Ernie Ball Music Man basses (Ex. Video M Ms).
Hoppus is the pop- punk by the "pause indefinitely " by blink-182 remained faithful and has since worked with several bands and artists such as Simple Plan and Motion City Soundtrack.
In addition, he founded with his blink-182 bandmate Travis Barker the band 44, the debut album was released on 14 November 2006.

Mark Hoppus has his shares in the company Atticus and Macbeth, which he had founded with Tom DeLonge sold.
He had, among other things with his bandmates Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker performances in various films ( eg, American Pie and The Simpsons ).
Mark Hoppus is married to Skyelene ( Skye ) Everly since 2 December 2000, and has a son, Jack Hoppus (* August 5, 2002). He met his wife at the video shoot of All the Small Things know.
Since 8 February 2009, he plays back together with Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker in the band blink- 182. In early 2010 undertook a project Hoppus with Pete Wentz, who is a good friend and bassist in the band Fall Out Boy. They wrote the song In Transit for the film Alice in Wonderland.
From 2010 to 2012 had Hoppus his own show on the American station Fuse TV Hoppus on Music with the name.
