Marko Šćekić

Marko Šćekić ( Serbian Cyrillic Марко Шћекић; born 23 May 1981 in Zvornik, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Serbian professional basketball player who has played for several clubs in Europe. His greatest achievement is the German championship in 2009 with the EWE Baskets Oldenburg. In 2011 he won with KK Budućnost from Podgorica Montenegrin Cup competition, but switched after the end of the season in the Italian Serie A club tradition of Cantù. Two years later he moved to league rivals Cimberio Varese.

Šćekić moved in 2000 from his hometown club to the Bosnian double winners KK Borac Banja Luka. With the young Šćekić the club could not repeat these successes in the following years. 2004 moved to the Serbian city of Novi Sad Šćekić finally to KK Vojvodina.
