Martin Bogdanov

Martin Bogdanov, Martin Bogdanov wrote, Bulgarian Мартин Богданов, ( born February 14, 1986 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian biathlete.

Martin Bogdanov is a student, lives and trained in his native city of Sofia. The starter of the National Sports Academy practices the sport since 1998, since 2001 he has been the national team of Bulgaria in. Since 2003 he starts in international junior race. 2003 Kościelisko, 2004 in Haute Maurienne, 2005 Kontiolahti and 2007 in Martell, he participated in the Junior World Championships. Best results have been doing 28 seats in the single 2004 and the Sprint 2005. At Junior European Championships Bogdanov joined in 2003 Forni Avoltri, 2006 Langsdorf and 2007 in Bansko. He reached his best results in Bansko. With the season of the Bulgarian was fifth, 18th in singles and 24th in the sprint race. Between 2003 and 2007 he also started regularly in the Junior European Cup and reached multiple top ten results. Best individual result was a fourth place in the mass start of Gurnigel 2006, and with the season, a second place in 2007 in Forni Avoltri. Here he took up together with Krassimir Anew and Vladimir Iliew, with whom he went through the various grades over the years.

In the men's area Bogdanov debuted at the end of the season 2006/ 07 in Lahti in the Biathlon World Cup and was 86th of the sprint. In the summer he took in Otepaeae at the World Championships in the summer biathlon in 2007 in part, documented in the roller skiing competitions 20th place in the sprint and finished 26th of the pursuit race. In the Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě the Bulgarian reached the ranks 27th in singles and 64th in the sprint. In the spring he went to at the Open Balkan Championship in biathlon in 2008 and missed out in fourth place just a medal. In the 2008 /09 season Bogdanov started regularly in the World Cup. At first he could only yield modest benefits, increased, however, during the course of the season and was rewarded with a nomination for the Biathlon World Championships 2009 in Pyeongchang. In competitions in South Korea, he was employed in singles and Sprint, where he was 85th and 81st. Best World Cup result was a 63rd place he reached in the sprint in Antholz 2009 for a long time. Bogdanov participated in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. He started in singles and finished in 84th place. In Presque Isle, he was in a sprint race to improve his best performance in the World Cup to a 52nd place in 2011.

Besides biathlon race denies Bogdanov now and then race in cross-country skiing. He takes especially in races of the Balkan Cup and FIS races and could there ever again be placed on single-digit ranks. In the Bulgarian Championships 2008 in Borovets he won the title in the sprint.
