Masterplan (Band)

Masterplan is a German power metal band that was founded in 2002 by Uli Kusch and Roland Grapow.

Band History

By the fall of 2001, guitarist and drummer Uli Kusch Roland Grapow were musicians in the German power metal band Helloween. In 2002, she formed the band Master Plan, which joined the bassist Jan S. Eckert ( Iron Savior ), keyboardist Axel Mackenroth and Norwegian vocalist Jorn land (Millennium, Ark, Company Of Snakes, Beyond Twilight ).

After they could / sign a record deal with AFM Records Painful pleasure in this lineup, was released in 2003, the acclaimed journalist debut album master plan. It was followed by a tour with the Swedish power metal band Hammerfall. Was published in 2004, the EP Back for My Life, 2005, the second album Aeronautics, which in turn received positive reviews.

In May 2006, Jørn land separated due to musical differences from the band. As the successor to the former Riot singer Mike DiMeo was announced. In December of 2006, Mike Terrana joined as the new drummer for the band; he was previously committed in a rage and had occasionally played in the band of Yngwie Malmsteen.

In December 2008, Mike DiMeo left the band and was finally announced in April 2009 that Jørn country returns as a singer.

On 8 November 2012, a new line-up was announced on the website. Singer Rick Altzi ( Thunderstone, At Vance ), Jari Kainulainen (ex - Stratovarius, Evergrey ) on bass guitar and drummer Martin Marthus Škaroupka ( Cradle of Filth ) reinforce now master plan.
