Mavlet Batirov

Mawlet Alawdinowitsch Batirow (Russian Мавлет Алавдинович Батиров; born December 12, 1983 in Khasavyurt, Dagestan ) is a Russian wrestler Avar nationality. He was Olympic champion in 2004 in free style bantamweight.

Career

Mawlet Batirow came along with two brothers as a teenager in 1998 Khasavyurt for rings. He is a member of the sports club Shamil Umachanow Khasavyurt.
