The MG 3 (until 2011 MG 3SW ) is a compact car the MG brand, owned by the Chinese carmaker Shanghai Automotive Industry. It has been built since 2008.

The MG 3SW based, like its predecessor on the MG ZR Rover Streetwise the British carmaker MG Rover. Following the bankruptcy of MG Rover Group in 2005, the production of the Rover Streetwise was adjusted. The production of the SW by the new majority owner SAIC began in 2008.
