Michael Musyoki

Michael Musyoki ( Mike Musyoki; born 28 May 1956) is a former Kenyan long-distance runner.

He won the silver medals in the 5000 -meter run and 10,000 - meter race at the Pan-African Games in 1978 in Algiers. The same result he scored a short time later at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton. His most significant success on the track, he scored in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, where he won the bronze medal in the 10,000 m behind the Italian Alberto Cova and the Briton Mike McLeod.

Also in the road race Musyoki was successful. On September 19, 1982, he presented at a race in Philadelphia with a time of 1:01:36 h a world record in the half marathon distance, good for one year had stock. 1986 Musyoki won the Great North Run. His time of 1:00:43 h was twelve seconds under the former world record. However, the track record of the run is not suitable due to an improper gap. In the same year he was fourth at the Chicago Marathon.
