Migidio Bourifa

Migidio Bourifa ( born January 31, 1969 in Casablanca, Morocco ) is an Italian marathon runner.

Life

In Bergamo grew up, he ran in his youth first karate before he moved to the mountain run and long-distance running.

In the World Half Marathon Championships 1997 in Košice, he finished 52nd place. In 1998, he ran the Turin Marathon a seventh in the standings and the first Italian, but has been tested positive during a doping control on Amineptine, so he was disqualified him and the Italian championship title was stripped. The two-year doping suspension actually due was reduced by the National Federation of " cooperative behavior " to eight months.

He was eighth in the Vienna City Marathon and fifth at the Venice Marathon 1999. The following year, he won at the Maratona di Sant'Antonio in Padua, was fourth in Venice and arrived at the World Half Marathon Championships in Veracruz, ranked 32nd in the year he was second in the Maratona di Sant'Antonio, sixth in Venice and ran at the world Half Marathon Championships in Bristol at number 78. 2002 was followed by a third place at the Paris Marathon, a tenth at the European Athletics Championships in Munich and a sixth at the Milan City Marathon. Migidio Bourifa is 1,71 m tall and weighs 55 kg. He is coached by Massimo Magnani and starts for Atletica Brembana. As the son of a Moroccan father and an Italian mother, he has dual citizenship.
