Mikhail Yakubov

Mikhail Yakubov Jurjewitsch (Russian: Михаил Юрьевич Якубов; born February 16, 1982 in Barnaul, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in the Kontinental Hockey League since May 2013.

Career

Mikhail Yakubov began his career in 1997 in the second team of HK Lada Togliatti, which he left in 2001 to Red Deer Rebels. NHL Entry Draft 2000, the Chicago Blackhawks had selected him in the first round, tenth, for which he completed forty games from 2003 to 2006. In addition, the striker at the Norfolk Admirals was used in the American Hockey League. In the season 2005/ 06 he was 29- times for the HK Spartak Moscow and 13 times for the Florida Panthers on the ice. From 2006 until January 2010 he stood at Cherepovets Severstal under contract. In January 2010 he moved to league rivals Spartak Moscow HK. His contract was dissolved with Spartak in September 2010 and Yakubov moved to KHL rookie HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk.

From May 2011 stood at HK Yakubov Metallurg Magnitogorsk under contract and was in the next two years to master game squad of the club, where he collected 31 points scorer in 123 KHL games. In May 2013 he returned to HK Yugra.
