Mikko Mäenpää

Mikko Mäenpää Ville Kalevi ( born April 19, 1983 in Tampere ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since January 2013 when HC Lev Prague in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Mikko Mäenpää began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Tappara Tampere, in which he was active until 2002. Then moved back to the JYP Jyväskylä, for its first team he in the 2002/03 season his debut in the SM- liiga, the top Finnish league, gave. Mäenpää played from 2008 to 2010 again for HPK Hämeenlinna in the SM- liiga and was in the 2009/10 season with his team's runner-up. In addition, he was even chosen this season in the All-Star team of the SM- liiga. The 2010/11 season spent the Finnish national team at Frölunda HC in Elitserien. For Sweden, he scored eight goals in 46 games and ten templates. In pre-season he was also responsible for Frölunda seven times in the European Trophy on. For the 2011/12 season he was engaged by Amur Khabarovsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. For Amur, he completed 55 KHL games, before transferring to HK CSKA Moscow in July 2012. For CSKA, he was also just a few months active since he joined in January 2013 as part of the KHL for HC Lev Prague. In June 2013 his contract was extended with the HC Lev two years.

Internationally

For Finland Mäenpää took part in the junior level at the U18 Junior World Championship 2001, where he won the bronze medal with his team. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Cup in 2010 and 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 in the Euro Hockey Tour.
