The Milano Repubblica station is a major hub of Milan's public transport network. It is a major transfer point between S- Bahn and U -Bahn station dar. The entire system is placed underground.

History

Began in 1981 under the Piazza della Repubblica, the construction of two underground rapid transit routes, the underground line M3 and the main line of the S -Bahn, the so-called " Passante ".

The metro line was opened on 3 May 1990.

The S-Bahn station ( operational only one breakpoint ) was put into operation after a long and serious construction on 21 December 1997.
