Mohamadou "Mo" Idrissou, also Mahammadou Idrissou, ( born March 8, 1980 in Yaoundé ) is a Cameroonian football player who is under contract with 1.FC Kaiserslautern since 2012.

Career

In the club

The first stations in Idrissous career were Racing Bafoussam and Garoua Coton Sport of Cameroon.

During the winter break of the season 2000/ 01 he was taken from the Hessen Oberliga side FSV Frankfurt in Germany. When FSV he could prevail on first attempt and scored 15 goals in 18 games. After the FSV was not risen at the end of the season in the regional league, Idrissou moved to 2001/ 02 to the third division Wehen. There he formed together with Saber Ben Neticha the most prolific strike partnership of the Regionalliga Süd.

For a fee of 300,000 euros Idrissou moved to this season for the Bundesliga promoted Hannover 96 and played there immediately into the starting eleven. During the winter break of the season 2004/ 05 Idrissou was loaned to French club SM Caen.

In January 2006, he had already signed a contract with MSV Duisburg, but fell after the medical examination, so that the MSV refrained from an obligation. For the 2010/11 season, the Cameroonian joined free transfer to the Lower Rhine to Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he received a two-year contract. National

As a Bundesliga player Idrissou was 2003 National Player of Cameroon. Height of his national team career was the second place in the Confederations Cup 2003. Idrissou came in all five games for Cameroon to use, but remained without a goal. Even in the semi-final match against Colombia when his teammates Marc -Vivien Foe collapsed on the pitch and later died in hospital, Idrissou was erected.

Controversies

Idrissou regarded as temperamental, sometimes difficult players.
