The Stena Europe is a Swedish ferry Stena Line. The ship is on the route Fishguard - Rosslare used.

History

The ship was built in 1981 as Kronprinsessan Victoria for Sessan line. This shipping company was acquired in the same year by Stena Line. By March 1982, there was on the route Frederikshavn - Gothenburg used. Then it was on the route Kiel - Gothenburg used. In 1988 it was renamed Stena Saga and on the route Frederikshavn - Oslo used. 1994 was on the route Harwich - Hook of Holland used. In 1997 it was replaced by the Stena Discovery and by the subsidiary Lion Ferry as a Lion Europe on the route Karlskrona - Gdynia used. In 1998, all Lion Ferry ferry routes and routes to Stena Line. By 2001, the ship was still used as Stena Europe on this route. Beginning of 2002, exchanged the Queen Beatrix (later Stena Baltica ) and the Stena Europe routes. Since 13 March 2002, the ship on the Fishguard - Rosslare is used by 2007 partly together with the sister ship Normandy, which was scrapped in 2012. In the summer months it was used together with the Stena Lynx III, which was sold in late 2011.

Specifications

The ship is powered by four Wärtsilä 12V32 diesel engines of the type. The motors operate at two controllable pitch propellers.

For the power supply, two wave generators and three Wärtsilä diesel generators and an MTU diesel auxiliary generator.
