Mueang Phang Nga District

Amphoe Mueang Phang Nga ( Thai: อำเภอ เมือง พังงา ) is a district ( Amphoe ) of the Phang Nga province in southern Thailand. The capital of the district is also called Phang Nga.

Geography

The neighboring Amphoe and territories are ( from east clockwise): Thap Put and Phanom province of Surat Thani, Kapong, Thai Mueang and Takua Thung. In the South, " Phang Nga Bay " is the island of Ko Yao County.

Management

The district Mueang Phang Nga is divided into nine subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 42 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Phang Nga is also the name of a city ( Mueang thesaban ) in the district, it consists of the tambon Thai Chang.

In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
