Municipality of Sveti Tomaž

Sveti Tomaž ( German: St.Thomas in Friedau ) is a municipality in the Lower Styria region in Slovenia.

Location and population

In the overall community consisting of 17 villages and hamlets 2155 people live. The main town of Sveti Tomaž alone has 254 inhabitants and is located 294 m northeast of Ptuj.

History

The previously to the municipality Ormož belonging total municipality Sveti Tomaž forms its own independent municipality since 2006.

Worth seeing

Worth seeing is the Thomas Church ( Sv Tomaž ) which was built in the years 1715-1727.
