Mýtna

Mýtna (Hungarian Vámosfalva ) is a town in central Slovakia with 1185 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). It belongs to Okres Lučenec, kraj a circle of Banskobystrický.

Geography

The municipality is located in the valley of the brook Krivánsky creek between the mountains and the Slovak Ore Ostrôžky west east and north of the village. The height of the 20.28 km ² large municipality varies from 250 m nm N.M. to 800 m The center is located at an altitude of 260 m nm and is 20 kilometers from Lučenec and 38 km away from Zvolen.

Neighboring municipalities are Dobroč the north and east, in the southeast Lovinobana, Divín in the south and Píla and Podkriváň in the northwest.

History

The village was founded in the 14th century as part of the Herrschaftsguts the castle Divín, was first mentioned in 1393 as Wamuslehutaya writing and derives its name from a toll booth on the road from Altsohl forth from. From the 15th to the 19th century took the lengthy settlement of the valley of the brook Krivánsky creek. In the late 16th century, the village was on the front between the Royal Hungary and the Ottoman Empire from 1575 to 1593 and was occupied by the Turks. In the 17th century there was a mill and saw, in the 18th century a village brewery. 1828 were counted 102 houses and 797 inhabitants, who were employed in agriculture and animal husbandry. 1857 a church school was founded.

Until 1918, belonged to the lying in the county Neograd place the Kingdom of Hungary and came after Czechoslovakia or Slovakia today. Since 1948, the village is served by the public bus network, in 1950 the school building for the local primary school was built.

Population

According to the 2011 census lived in Mýtna 1,188 inhabitants, of whom 1,050 Slovaks, Czechs, three, two poles and one each Roma, Russine and Ukrainians; a resident had a different ethnic group. 129 inhabitants did not know. 490 inhabitants belonged to the Jehovah's Roman Catholic Church, 381 inhabitants to the Evangelical Church AC, 18 inhabitants to the witnesses, seven inhabitants to the Greek Catholic Church, Old Catholic Church for three residents, two residents of the Reformed Church, and in each case a resident for evangelistic church and Orthodox Church; a resident had a different denomination. 110 inhabitants were non-denominational and 174 inhabitants, the denomination has not been determined.
