Nathan Smith (ice hockey)

Nathan Smith ( born February 9, 1982 in Edmonton, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since August 2011 at the Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League contract.

Career

Nathan Smith began his career as a hockey player with the Swift Current Broncos, for by 2002 he was active from 1998 in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 in the first round than a total of 23 players from the Vancouver Canucks. From 2002 to 2007 he was a regular for their farm team Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League. In addition, he occasionally came to Vancouver in the National Hockey League action in which he eight games for the team from British Columbia denied during this period. For the Panthers, he immediately became team captain and finished with his team at the end of the season last place. In August 2011, the offensive player has been contracted by the Syracuse Crunch.
