National Convention Party (Gambia)

The National Convention Party (NCP ) ( German National Assembly Party) is a political party in Gambia. The motto of the party is: Latin " Semper fidelis " = " always reliable ".

History

She was 1975-1994, the largest opposition party. After the US-led Yahya Jammeh military coup of 1994, she was participating in elections was initially forbidden.

In the presidential elections of 18 October 2001 Sheriff Mustapha Dibba their leader came with 3.9 percent of the vote to fourth place. In the last parliamentary elections for the National Assembly on 17 January 2002, the party had no seats.

After the death of Ebrima Dibba was Janko Sanyang leader of the party.
