National Football League Most Valuable Player Award
The NFL Most Valuable Player Award and NFL Player of the Year is an award given to the athletic Valuable Player ( MVP MVP short ) of the National Football League ( NFL) one year is awarded. The award is made annually by the American sports press. Since there is rarely a consensus on the best player of the season between the various organs of the press, there can be multiple winners in a year. In the years 1949 and 1950, no election took place. The table also considers the independent leagues to 1970 American Football League ( AFL) (now the American Football Conference ( AFC) ) and NFL (now the National Football Conference (NFC ) ).
