Neukirchen (Ostholstein)

Neukirchen is a municipality in the district of East Holstein in Schleswig -Holstein. It lies in the Wagria directly on the Baltic Sea and has a 5.6 km long beach. Buerau, Georgshof, Godderstorf, phonolite, Kraksdorf, Löhrstorf, Michael Dorf, Meeschendorf, Meeschendorfer pasture, oil village, Easter Made, Sahna, Satjewitz, Seekamp Sütel and Wulfshof lie in the municipality.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1259 as Kerghvelde and is named after its Romanesque brick church, St. Anthony's Church. The church was founded 1244/45 of Adolf IV of Schauenburg and Holstein.

In the dairy farm, the first dry milk was produced in Germany in 1914. The dairy was closed in the early 1960s.

Good Löhrstorf

The noble Good Löhrstorf (formerly Löhrstorff ) was first mentioned in the 14th century. The mansion is a massive building with a mansard roof and is located on an expansive park.
