Nicki (singer)

Nicki ( born November 2, 1966 in Plattling, Deggendorf district as Doris Andrea Hrdá ) is a German pop singer and composer. She lives with her partner and their two daughters in Plattling.

Career

Nicki grew up with three brothers and two sisters in the Lower Bavarian Plattling. In 1982, she was discovered at a talent competition in Landshut of Gog Seidl, and received a recording contract. In 1983, their first single, Servus, mach's guat, a hit in Bavarian dialect, the first success. The stage name Nicki came up with pop star Sandra. Nicki remained true to the dialect and also had success with numerous other titles.

The popular music of the 1.52 -meter singer also contains elements of rock, calypso, R & B -soul, synth pop and country music. Nicki's biggest hits were composed by Harald Steinhauer and written by Helmut Frey. Nicki has appeared in various music programs on television - including 35 times in the ZDF hit parade ( 1984 to 1996 ) - and gave several concerts. In 1996 she made ​​her debut as a presenter on the show The big request concert. In 1999, Nicki dedicated as patroness of the German Children's Cancer Foundation.

After that, it was a little quieter to Nicki. She retired from show business and has been dedicated entirely to family life. In September 2006, Nicki launched a comeback with their new album: I give gas again. In December 2006, Nicki made ​​it known that she would end her comeback for health reasons. All PR events as well as a planned 2007 tour were canceled. 2008 Nicki celebrated its 25th anniversary on stage and announced that now but again wanted to work in the music business.

On June 1, 2008 Nicki was awarded as part of the " Bavarian queens day " in Lalling ARGE Media Prize 2008. Nicki received the award on the basis of their musical work and their social commitment. Endowed with 2,000 Euro prize donated Nicki immediately to the severely disabled five -year-old Niko who desperately needed a lift. Also specifically for Niko Nicki organized jointly with the band El Matadors on September 14, 2008, a benefit concert in Deggendorf.

Since 2011, Nicki is the advertising face of the company in Biel Meier Prackenbach, which manufactures household appliances.

2013 celebrates the singer her 30 years on stage and on the occasion she gave in her hometown of two successful anniversary concerts. In November 2013 Nicki was for 30-year stage anniversary awarded a Smago Award.
