Nikolce Noveski (2006)

Nikolce Noveski ( Macedonian Николче Новески; born April 28, 1979 in Bitola ) is a Macedonian football player.

Career

Clubs

The aerially strong central defender Noveski joined in 1998 as a 19 -year-old from Macedonian club FK Pelister Bitola to the German Bundesliga FC Hansa Rostock, for which he was, however, used only once in the Bundesliga and elsewhere in the league team. 2001 Noveski was committed by the Regional FC Erzgebirge Aue, with which he ascended to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2003. After the rise of the first Bundesliga FSV Mainz 05 the Rheinhessen committed the defender.

After seven games without the use Noveski moved due to a training injury caused by itself Tamás Bódog in October 2004 in the basic formation of Mainz. Noveski extended after the end of the 2006/07 season his contract expiring at the Mainz - despite relegation from the Bundesliga and lucrative offers from other clubs - and thus has achieved cult status with the Mainz fans. Since the 2007/ 08 season, he is team captain. In January 2010 Noveski extended his contract with Mainz 05 again for three years until June 2013.

National

For the Macedonian national Noveski played so far 58 international matches and scored five goals.

Others

On 19 November 2005 Noveski scored a Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt Mainz in the first six minutes of the game within 132 seconds two own goals. Later, he marked the 1:2 goal back for the 05ers; the game ended 2-2. His statement after the match, said: " After all, it was my first hat-trick. "

Two own goals in a Bundesliga game were previously only Dieter Bast, Per Røntved, Gerd Zimmermann, Dieter Pulter and later Karim Haggui undermined, which, however, it needed more time. With six own goals in the Bundesliga Noveski ranks together with Manfred Kaltz in the first place this evaluation, this position has however achieved with significantly fewer league games.

2005 and 2013 was Noveski "Football Player of the Year " in Macedonia.
