Nili Abramski

Nili Abramski (Hebrew נילי אברמסקי, also Nili Avramski written; born January 14, 1970 in Rehovot ) is an Israeli long-distance runner.

She holds the current national records in the 2000 -, 3000 -, 5000 - and 10,000 -meter run as well as in the half marathon and marathon.

Overall, it was the Tiberias Marathon eleven Israeli marathon champion, of which nine times as overall winner as well as once each second overall or - third. Numerous other national titles she won over 3000, 5000 and 10,000 m and half marathon and cross-country running.

Internationally, she has participated in six World Half Marathon Championships with a 39th place in 2002 in Brussels as the best result. At the European Athletics Championships in Munich in 2002 she won the 10,000 m 27th place. To commemorate the eleven Israeli athletes who were murdered 30 years ago in the hostage-taking of Munich during the Olympic Games in 1972, she had the numbers " 11" and " 72" painted on her palms.

After a maternity leave in 2003, she qualified in 2004 as a ninth of the Paris Marathon with a time of 2:36:36 h ( her third Israeli record over this distance ) for the marathon in the Olympic Games in Athens, where they rank on the 42nd came.
