Tour

Half a year after the release of the album U2 began on 30 June 2009 in Barcelona with the first leg of their world tour "U2 360 ° Tour".

The stage design was characterized above all by the fact that it "front" has no classical stage layout with a unique, but rather the audience - eponymous for the tour - all around is on all 360 ° around the stage. Video screen and speakers are not on the floor, but hang on to the stage construction. In this way more viewers than usual may attend the shows: about 10,000 extra seats per concert could be created that way.

Since 2011, the U2 360 ° Tour is officially the most successful tour of all time, as they record the Rolling Stones ( 558 million U.S. $ ) significantly exceeds with probably around 700 million U.S. dollars revenue. In addition, U2 surpass the Rolling Stones also in the audience. At the end of the 360 ° tour around 7 million viewers have followed the concerts, while the Stones "only" had 6.4 million.

Due to an injury to Bono at the rehearsals for the tour also had unplanned shifts of the tour dates. After 110 concerts in 30 countries, the final performance was held in the Canadian Moncton on July 30.

Others

Along with the album was released and the film linear photographer and film director Anton Corbijn. The film is deposited with the songs of the album, though this may be played in a different order. In addition to the album tracks is yet another track - Winter - present.

At the beginning of the studio recordings of the music producer Rick Rubin was involved. However, the songs that emerged through its collaboration were not used on the album.
