Ñorquín Department

The department Ñorquín lies in the west of the province of Neuquen in southern Argentina and is one of 16 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered on the north by the departments Minas and Chos Malal, the east by the department of Pehuenches, to the south by the Departamento Loncopue and to the west by Chile.

The capital of the department is Ñorquín El Huecú.

Population

According to estimates by the INDEC, the population grew from 4,628 inhabitants (2001) to 5,652 inhabitants in 2005.
