Novyi Rozdil
Novy Rosdil (Ukrainian Новий Розділ; Russian Новый Раздол / Nowy Rasdol ) is a small Ukrainian town with just over 28,000 residents. It is located in the Lviv Oblast (Lviv ) and is located south of the district capital, Lviv. The nearest major town is Stry ( facing south ).
The town was founded in 1953 ( due to the sulfur mining in the region) and from 1959 until the end of 2002, a " urban-type settlement ", since it is a city under Oblastverwaltung. The name refers to the " urban-type settlement " Rosdil which is close to the city.
