Ochodze

Ochotz, Polish Ochodze, is a village in Poland in the community Comprachtschütz. It belongs to the powiat Opolski in Upper Silesia in the Opole Voivodeship.

Ochotz is located 2 km south of the parish seat Comprachtschütz and 10 km south-west of the county town of Opole and voivodship.

South of Ochotz runs the A4 motorway.

History

The place was first mentioned in 1295.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 338 voters voted to remain in Germany and 121 for Poland. Ochotz remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 957 inhabitants in the village. On 19 May 1936, the town was renamed in Fruehauf. 1939, the place had 1,066 inhabitants. 1941, the wooden church of Gumpertsdorf shot was transferred to Fruehauf. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Ochodze and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Opolski. On 4 June 2009 the Ochotz was in the community Comprachtschütz, belongs, introduced German as a second official language on 1 December 2009 was the place in addition to the official German names Ochotz.
