Olli Muotka

Olli Muotka (* July 14, 1988 in Rovaniemi ) is a Finnish ski jumper.

Career

Muotka to start since the 2011/2012 season for the club Lahti Hiihtoseura and previously for Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura, the club of his hometown Rovaniemi launched, was active prior to his career as a ski jumper as Nordic combined and launched there in the World Cup as Muotka had his first international appearances in the third-tier FIS Cup in Kuopio in December 2005, where he scored with a 24th place right away. Also in the Continental Cup, where he made his debut on 1 December 2007 at Pragelato Italian, he could enter in his first jump points, he finished the race in 21st place his first victory in the Continental Cup he reached on 27 December 2010 at the Swiss Engelberg.

In March 2007 the students the bronze medal in the team competition at the side of Sami Niemi, Mika Kauhanen and Lauri Asikainen won at the Junior World Championships in Tarvisio, Italy. On 9 March 2009 Muotka was employed as a member of the National group in Kuopio for the first time in a qualification for a World Cup competition, but missed with 59th place qualification.

His first World Cup points he won on January 16, 2010 while jumping in Sapporo, Japan, where he graduated on the 14th. A result that he was able to date only once 13 February 2011 repeat, in Vikersund. Just two months later, he won together with Janne Happonen, Matti Hautamäki and Harri Olli as a substitute for the Janne Ahonen missing the bronze medal in the team competition of the Ski Flying World Championships 2010 in Planica.

In the Finnish ski jumping championships 2011 in Kuopio Muotka won against Jarkko Määttä and Juha -Matti Ruuskanen the title of the large hill. A week later, he followed in his native town of Rovaniemi, the title of the normal hill.
