Omerta is the debut album by the American heavy metal hard rock band Adrenaline Mob. It was released in North America on 13 March 2012 on Elm City Music and in Europe on March 16, 2012 via Century Media.

Formation

The album was recorded in summer and autumn 2011 and produced by the band itself. The recordings took place Stomp studio of guitarist Mike Orlando, Sonic. In addition to the four original compositions by the self-titled EP, which was released in August 2011, the band recorded six more songs. From the EP, the cover version of Black Sabbath song The Mob Rules was not used. Instead, a cover version of the song Come Undone by Duran Duran was taken. As a guest singer Lzzy Hale is heard from the band Halestorm.

Was mixed by Jay Ruston Omertà, who has previously worked with bands such as Anthrax and Steel Panther. For songs Undaunted and indifferent music videos were filmed.

Background

The album title refers to the secrecy of Omerta Mafia members from outsiders. The Omerta is part of the code of honor of the criminal organization. Guitarist Mike Orlando said in an interview that the initiation ritual on the album cover is shown in the drawing.

Some texts of the album as indifferent act of Mike Orlando's life. In Angel Sky a love affair of Orlando is described. With Undaunted Orlando and Russell Allen want to call the people to be fearless in certain situations. Reviews

Bernhard Högl from the Austrian online magazine Stormbringer rated the album with the highest grade five. Although he noted that the band " was not particularly creative," but noted that the album "has become a well-balanced mix of grooving monsters and everything niederwälzenden strikes" was. Omertà reached number 70 of the U.S. album charts and sold in the United States in the first week after the release of about 6,600 times. In Switzerland, the album reached number 46 in the Netherlands and 84th place
