Onamia is a small town ( with a status of "City" ) in Mille Lacs County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. In 2010, Onamia had 878 inhabitants.

In Onamia, the management of the Mille Lacs Indian Reservation is the Anishinabe ( Ojibwa ).

Geography

Onamia located in northeastern Minnesota's center on the south shore of Lake Onamia and on the east bank of the drain, the Rum River. The site covers an area of 2.3 km ².

U.S. Highway 169 and Minnesota State Route 27 meet in Onamia.
