Ondřej Sosenka

Ondřej Sosenka ( born December 9, 1975 in Prague ) is a former Czech cyclist.

Sports career

The greatest successes of Ondřej Sosenka were winning the Peace Race in 2002 and the Tour of Poland 2001 and 2004. On 19 July 2005, he presented in Moscow at the Olympic velodrome in Krylatskoje with 49,700 miles a new world hour record and surpassed so that the approximately five year old world record of the British Chris Boardman of 49.441 kilometers. This was the second hour record according to the new regulations, as the International Cycling Union UCI only recognizes records that can be accessed with bikes that relate to the state of 1972.

The time trial specialist Sosenka was four times Czech champion in the time trial.

Doping

On 29 August 2008 it was announced that there was a positive A- sample on Methamphetamine in the Czech Championships in Sosenka. His team suspended him with immediate effect until the opening of the B sample. He was subsequently banned for two years.
