Oplocany

Oplocany ( German Oplotzan ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. You more than twelve kilometers southeast of Prostějov and belongs to Okres Přerov.

Geography

Oplocany is on the left of the Valová in Hornomoravský úval (Upper Moravian Valley ). By Oplocany leads the state road II/435 between Polkovice and Tovačov. Two kilometers to the east runs along the Blata the railway line between Kroměříž and Tovačov, in the section on the Kojetin - Tovačov passenger services were set. The station is located in Annin Oplocany. To the north- east lies the quarry area of ​​Tovačovská Jezera, east of the pond Náklo.

History

The first written mention of Oplocaz took place in 1131 in a freight directory of the diocese of Olomouc, in which a hoof field is listed as possession of the Olomouc Cathedral Chapter. After the abolition of patrimonial Oplocany / Oplotzan formed with the settlement Arnoštov / Ernest village from 1850 onwards a municipality in the district team Kremsier. From 1960 Oplocany was connected with the designated now as the district Arnoštov to the Local National Committee of Tovačov and in 1976 was incorporated as a district Tovačov III Oplocany entirely.
